RotaLoo Composting Toilets

Composting toilets work and saves water and money

Consider this, what we pay for our water in Western Australia is actually subsidized by state taxes, levies and other charges. And like your power bill it can only increase in cost... There are places on this tiny blue planet where water cost are much higher than W.A...

If you live in urban areas where there are deep sewers it is impractical to think of composting toilets but saving water is, replace your showerheads, its cheap and easy. When the washing machine dies buy a water saving front loader. Get a free waterwise showerhead.
Some dish washers use less water than washing by hand!!! - Sponsor wanted!

RotaLoo's are perfect and easy to install in new homes under concrete slabs or suspended floors. Use the Aussie mortgage calculator to check out the best available rates. Older homes that are built on stumps are also prime candidates to use RotaLoo's. The RotaLoo 650 has been installed in caravans and even in buses.

If you have a business or a place where you have male and female toilets please consider installing waterless urinals. Without getting into to a sales patter (yes we do sell the best one) They do work ours don't stink and they are easy to install and maintain.

Perfect for new homes. Use the Aussie mortgage calculator to check out the best available rates.

Rainfall...

2011 seems like it has been a wet winter but such is not the case as far as the water in the dams is concerned The Dams are still just less than 36% full. So for yet another season we all have to conserve water. What seems to have happened in the hill is that the rain has been spread out over a longer period.
I am photographing flowers on my block and in the surrounding forest some that I have not seen for over twenty years and even a few that I have never been seen before. I'm not qualified to say wether this is climate change unfolding or not but 'something's happening here'

The last time Mundaring weir was full was in the winter of 1994. Despite the good rains in 2004 and 2009 (That's a long time between soakings!!!) we still have to think 'water savings' and the best way to do that is don't use it in the first place.
Easy to say hard to do... but RotaLoo's can and do help.

This photograph of Mundaring Weir in full flow will remain on this page until such time as the dam is full again!! And then it will my great pleasure to go and see them all again and take some more photos

An open request to the Minister for Water The Honourable Bill Marmion

How come sensible thinking folk who decide to install composting toilets and waterless urinals are not eligible for any water wise rebates or assistance??? After all the largest water consuming appliance in the home is the flush toilet! There are thousands of rural dwellings in areas of the state where water supply is a really serious problem. Many of us rural folk would benefit from a simple to use and easy to service RotaLoo and the rest of the state would benefit by saving water.

If you feel so inclined Ask the question? Send the good minister an email, give him a call or maybe drop by for a nice cup of tea and a bicky in those plush Allendale Square offices. (just kidding)
